SAFEGUARDING SUMMARY
Pershore Riverside Centre CIO is fully committed to safeguarding the welfare of everyone involved in its activities. All staff and volunteers involved with working with young people have enhanced DBS checks (registered with the update service). Every member of our youth team is trained to understand safeguarding issues and will take reasonable steps to protect children and young people using our services from physical, emotional, sexual or internet abuse and neglect. This applies to all with whom we work, regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, disability, race, nationality or country of origin.

RISK ASSESSMENTS
We undertake risk assessments relating to the Riverside Centre’s building – fire , flooding, equipment; our outside space – car park & multi-use games area (MUGA), back field and riverside.
INSURANCE
We have full public liability insurance for all activities on offer and operate in line with risk assessments for all of our activities. We require evidence of insurance from all hirers who run classes on site, and reserve the right to ask for risk assessments, eg watersports.
