As a charity we make the funds we need to operate from a mixture of income from activities, grants and importantly donations. Each year we run #pershoreriverfestival, and a Luxury raffle, but as more young people need our services and council funding has decreased dramatically, we need your help. Could you give a little time, eg serving refreshments at one of our events?, make a small donation? Or help to promote what we do? Here are details of a number of ways in which people can support us and therefore Pershore’s more disadvantaged young people.
Make a donation
We need to sustain our funding levels to continue to provide a range of services for young people who need support.

Raise funds while you shop
Hundreds of online retailers have committed to donate a percentage of their sales to charities. Sign up to EASY FUNDRAISING https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/panel/ and nominate Pershore Riverside Centre as your chosen cause https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/pershorerc/
then, when you shop, online the retailer will send us money – at absolutely no cost to you! Help us to benefit from the profits of Amazon, John Lewis, Boots, takeaways [need good examples].
Hire our venue
Use the meeting room for a regular group, club or one-off meeting; encourage family or friends to think about hiring our venue for a birthday party; plan a summer evening event on our fabulous decking with riverside views. Please click here for more information.
And remember – all the income helps secure the future of the facilities and the work for young people.
Share your skills and enthusiasm to help us, and feel great at the same time. It’s not just working with young people – we need help gardening, or with DIY skills around the centre, or marketing, or anything else you can help with. To keep the charity up and running we need help from the community – get in touch and see what we can do together. Please look at our Current Vacancies page for opportunities.
Most volunteers will not work directly with young people. However, if you have experience or qualifications in delivery of sessions for children or young people, then we would love to hear from you. For example, we are keen for people to share life skills with our young people, eg cooking, interview technique, ………………

- Offer opportunities for young people to visit your place of work – taster sessions or work experience. Help with mock interviews etc to expand their understanding of work available.
We also occasionally run events within the wider community eg fundraisers, competitions and courses. These are promoted through social media and our website.
